Team Owner
Frank Polsinello
Frank Polsinello is the owner and managing partner of the Saratoga Racers, a semi-pro basketball team in the American Basketball Association (ABA). A lifelong Mechanicville native, Polsinello led the group that purchased the Racers in 2024 and is spearheading efforts to redevelop their new home court at 10 North Main Street. With seating for up to 2,800 fans, the venue is central to Polsinello’s vision of turning the Racers into a catalyst for community pride.

Bob Catherwood
We are extremely excited to bring a coach in who brings a ton of experience and has won at so many levels to lead the Racers. Bob Catherwood has had the most successful season at every school he has coached at. He has a coaching record of 370-154 for a 72% winning percentage. Catherwood’s first coaching job was at Keveny Memorial where he won 55 league games in a row and finished with a record of 111-26. BoCat served as an assistant on the Albany Patroons and Albany Legends professional teams who both won championships. Collegiately Catherwood earned Region 3 Coach of the Year honors with Schenectady Community College and Hudson Valley Community College, setting school records for most wins at both schools. At HVCC his team won 24 in a row, and his SCCC team set the school record for most wins. They were ranked No. 1 in the country in junior college and collected a record of 116-38. Catherwood is also decorated at the high school level. winning several Coach of the Year awards, including Times Union Coach of the Year. Catherwood led Keveny High School to 55 consecutive wins, 4 league titles, and a Class C sectional title. At Galway Catherwood an unbeaten season, a WAC championship, along with Class C and CC crowns.

Tim Hepp was named as the General Manager/Assistant Coach for the Inaugural Saratoga Racers season. Tim started his Coaching/athletics career working as an Assistant for the Women’s Basketball Team and Assistant Sports Information Director at Plattsburgh State in 2004. Since that time he has coached Baseball, Football, Soccer, and Basketball at the youth levels, including starting an AAU program in Brunswick, NY, with Head Coach Bob Catherwood, starting a Travel Soccer Program in Troy, NY, and being a Vice-President for Troy Central Little League for over 10 years. He has worked at the scorer’s table for the Albany Patroons in multiple capacities since 2018.
