Multiple Players Team Up to Lead Racers Past Coyotes

Juwan Malone scored 24 points and Donovan Williams had a big game as Saratoga Racers defeated Vermont Coyotes, 134-120, on Saturday to improve to 10-3 on the season. Williams scored 15 points and gave out 11 assists. The game was a battle from start to finish with 13 lead changes. Saratoga Racers got out to a 53-52 lead at halftime before closing out the victory. Leading 81-78, Saratoga Racers went on a 20-point run to pull further away. Malone poured in 18 points in the third quarter as Saratoga Racers outscored Vermont Coyotes 54-30. Malone led Saratoga Racers in scoring with 24 points. Saratoga Racers was deadly from inside the paint, finishing 30-53 on twos. Terrell Camp led the team with 14 rebounds and Williams led the team with 11 assists. Saratoga Racers's ball pressure forced 13 steals in the game. Tyler Mitchell led the team with four steals. Tobias Holmes (23 points), Rj Rosa (23 points), John Ryals III (20 points), Williams (15 points), Isaiah Grandison (15 points), Camp (9 points), and Mitchell (5 points) also pitched in for Saratoga Racers. Jackson McCoy was the leading scorer for Vermont Coyotes with 39 points and also pulled down 15 rebounds. Leonard Brice also had a big day for the Coyotes with 32 points and 9 rebounds. Next up for Saratoga Racers is a game against the Herkimer Originals on Super-Bowl Sunday at Noon. Saratoga will be looking to finish off the 4-game season sweep of Herkimer on Sunday.
